"Idyllic location with wonderful views"
(Denise, July 2023)
West View House dates from 1878 and was built as a quarrymans cottage. It is situated on the cliffs above Swanage Bay in Dorset, on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Acton adjacent to open country. Available to rent for short breaks or longer stays, it has three comfortable bedrooms, plenty of entertaining space and an enclosed garden. We welcome well behaved dogs (and children!). With the Priests’ Way just across the common and the South West Coast Path a short walk up the track, there is a wealth of fantastic sea views and open countryside to enjoy.
As part of the Jurassic Coast the area is rich in fossils and we are lucky to be a short walk from the dinosaur footprints at Keates Quarry which makes a lovely evening stroll. The renowned Square and Compass pub is a little further along if your preferred evening stroll is to take in a pint with a view.
